Three-Day Tour
A three-day tour exploring the historic city of Bath and all its splendour, Lyme Regis and Charmouth in the heart of the Jurassic Coast and finally to Hampshire.
Day 1 - Explore the unique city of Bath, which has the distinction of being the only entire city in the UK to be designated as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Our guided walk will take you amongst some of its 5,000 preserved Georgian buildings where, you'll gain a sense of the city, as Jane Austen knew it.
Day 2 - Visit the beautiful Georgian coastal town of Lyme Regis and nearby Charmouth which formed part of the background for her novel Persuasion.
Day 3 - To Steventon, Chawton and Jane Austen's final resting place; Winchester Cathedral.
Five-Day Tour
A five-day tour exploring the historic city of Bath and all its splendour, Lyme Regis and Charmouth in the heart of the Jurassic Coast, three film locations and finally to Hampshire.
Arrive in the afternoon at your accommodation in Bath.
Day 1 - The unique city of Bath, which has the distinction of being the only entire city in the UK to be designated as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Our guided walk will take you amongst some of its 5,000 preserved Georgian buildings where, you'll gain a sense of the city, as Jane Austen knew it.
Day 2 - Continues the exploration of Bath with visits to the Pump Room, Museum of Costume, The Roman Baths and Bath Thermae Spa (optional).
Day 3 - We visit the beautiful Georgian coastal town of Lyme Regis and nearby Charmouth, which formed part of the background for her novel Persuasion.
Day 4 - Visits to three locations: Stourhead, East Coker and Montacute House.
Day 5 - Today we visit Steventon, Chawton and Jane Austen's final resting place; Winchester. At the end of day five, transfer to London or, return to your hotel.
